We operate nationwide, are employee-owned, and are a majority women-owned business.

Crossfire's Mentoring Program

Our mentoring program is designed to support diverse job seekers in their career development. The program pairs mentees with experienced recruiters and other professionals who can offer guidance and support as they navigate the job market and grow in their careers.


The goals of our program include increasing the number of diverse hires, promoting diversity and inclusion within our organization, and providing career development opportunities for diverse job seekers.


Our program is detailed in the steps below.

Step 1: Getting Started

To participate in the program, mentees must be from underrepresented groups in their field and be actively seeking employment. Mentees will be paired with experienced Crossfire recruiters and other experienced professionals who are from diverse backgrounds and who are committed to supporting the career development of diverse individuals. Once paired up, our mentors will spend, at a minimum, 3 hours a week with each mentee.


Step 2: Curriculum

Initially, our mentors will work with their mentees to help them work on their resume, LinkedIn Profile, and prepare for interviews. During the next stage, Crossfire provides training and development opportunities to help mentees understand how to succeed in finding a job. Mentors will guide mentees in such topics as how to network, how to tackle multiple interviews, and how to navigate human resources and corporate culture. Mentees will also have the opportunity to shadow their mentors and attend professional development events.

Step 3: Ongoing Support

Crossfire works closely with our mentees until they find jobs. Once a mentee finds a position, Crossfire continues to support them to ensure success. We provide them with references, letters of recommendation, and teach them how to continue building their network as they succeed in the workplace. We are committed to the success of our mentees over the long-haul and will provide continued support long after the mentorship program is over. Crossfire is always availble to help them with future job searches.

Crossfire's Management Team

Jessica Mazzeo
CEO

Jessica is the CEO of Crossfire Consulting and is in charge of Finance and Software Development. She is one of the founding members of Crossfire and has been in the IT consulting industry since 2000. She has served as a Requirements Analyst, Project Manager, and Scrum Master on various software development projects for a diverse set of clients.

Jessica holds a BA from Colgate University in Molecular Biology and an MBA from New York University in Finance & Management. Jessica has a patent pending with the U.S. Patent Office for a DNA sequence (vector) she engineered while performing Cancer Research.
Katie Delgado
COO

Katie is the COO of Crossfire Consulting and in charge of Precision Staffing at Crossfire. She is a founding member of Crossfire, and has been in the IT consulting industry since 2000. She has completed several major development projects in a variety of roles, including Project Manager, Developer, Requirements Analyst, System Architect, and Quality Assurant.

Katie received a BA from Colgate University in Molecular Biology, an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Management from New York University, and a Masters in Biotechnology from Columbia University.

Shelly Mazzeo
VP Marketing

Shelly is the VP of Marketing at Crossfire. She provides executive leadership to Crossfire's marketing organization and works closely with the VP of Sales. Her major focus is on creating strategic alliances, growing major customer accounts, and maintaining Crossfire's presence on the web and through social media.

Shelly holds a BA from Brooklyn College in Modern Languages and an MA in Liberal Studies from the New School. Shelly brings a well-rounded, progressive approach to our marketing team.







Joe Mazzeo
VP Biz Dev

Joe is VP of Business Development at Crossfire. He helped found the company in 2000, leveraging over 30 years of experience in computing, telecommunications, and financial systems. Joe has served as a Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Executive and Strategy Officer in NYSE- and ASE-listed companies. Previous positions include leading a Fortune 500-size company's marketing organization, leading a major sales force in the international data communications business, and consulting on a wide variety of telecommunications and information security projects. Joe is consistently called upon for venture analyses, acquisition studies, and investment recommendations.

Joe earned a BBA in Management from Bernard Baruch College and an MS in Investment Management from Pace University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and will complete his doctorate in Computer Science from Pace University in 2024.
Paul Byrne
VP Sales

Paul is Crossfire's VP of Sales. He has over 10 years of increasing responsibility for technical sales and customer support operations. Paul is committed to building deep customer relationships and is continuously exploring innovative sourcing ideas with customers.

Paul holds a BS in Management from Mount Saint Mary College and an Executive MBA from Fordham University in International Business.
